When we first stood in the middle of what would someday become our dental office, we didn’t see dusty floors or empty rooms — we saw kids smiling. Not just smiling because their teeth were clean, but smiling because they felt special, confident, and cared for. That vision became Successful Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and I Am, a children's health, wellness, and success lifestyle brand — and it’s the reason we’re starting this blog.
We're a husband and wife team, passionate about helping children reach their full potential. Our actual team is made up of beloved family, friends, and supporters who believe in our mission and consistently poor into us. They are the heroes who make this all possible.
Why a Blog? Because our mission isn’t just about teeth. It’s about Champions and every aspect of their success. We want every child to smile on the inside and out. And the best way to keep building Champions is to share their stories — and yours — with as many families as possible. This blog will be our place to:

We know parenting can feel like a mix of magic, mess, and mystery. Our hope is that these Champion Chronicles will feel like a friend walking alongside you — an affirmation in one hand and a high-five in the other.
Our Journey So Far. When we opened the doors to our dental practice in April 2023, we ended the month with just 41 patients. Today, we serve over 2,000 Champions and counting. Earlier this year, we released our first I Am product--the I Am Toothbrush, an LED-lit, musical toothbrush that plays the instrumental to an "affirmational" song that our children and nieces recorded. Along the way, we’ve laughed, prayed, cried, and celebrated every small victory — from first lost teeth to big community events. Just this year, we hosted our Back-to-School Giveaway, where we handed out nearly 100 backpacks filled with supplies, gave free haircuts, and treated kids to manicures — all to help them start the school year feeling confident and cared for.
And we’re just getting started.
